650ml bottle at Brian's office. Pours a hazy rose with a white head. Aroma is disgusting with car exhaust gas and raspberry. Similar taste. Oh, gush, it is not good.

2017, bottle. Purplish. Aroma has a little bit of toastiness and a fair bit of fruit. Weird note, like hing or something. Fruity berries, tart, bit thin, and not as complex or fun as when I had it a couple of years ago.
2015: Draught @ that pub in Egmont.Pink-purple colour. Clean blackberry nose. Sweet start, quickly turning sour, with a fair bit of blackberry character. Refreshing, one of the nicer fruited kettle sours. 7-4-8-4-15 = 3.8

Bottle generously donated by the brewer, cheers to Marie for delivering me this Canadian sour! Medium thick, somewhat loose, fiercely crackling, regular, off-white head over a stunningly beautiful vermillion red beer with calm sparkling, clear but cloudy with deposit. Weird aroma of unsugared fruit yoghurt, brambleberry, elderberry, buttermilk, sour cream, ureum (a bit off-putting at first but fading eventually), pomegranate, rosé wine, goat cheese, raspberry vinegar, cooked rhubarb. Very fruity onset, sour berries abounding, blackberry indeed but estery impressions of unripe stonefruit and passion fruit as well, lemony acidity but mildly so, lactic tartness taking over, drying but in perfect balance with the ’soursweetness’ of the berries, soft wheaty background, smooth, finely tingling carbo like in a sparkling rosé wine, dry but still juicy finish with continuing fruit acidity and lactic tartness and hops only providing structure without the bitterness, which would only interfere too much with the sour berry profile. This is a very elegant, almost ’feminine’ fruit beer, crisp, dry and sour in a gentle, lush kind of way. Looks absolutely beautiful too. Lovely!

650 ml bottle. Pours a red mahogany with moderate head of big bubbles that dissipate quickly. Aromas of dark stewed berries, leather, and a little wheat. Flavors of tart blackberries, cranberries, blueberries, and wheat. A lot of scrubbing carbonation almost like champagne. Fruity. Not too sour - just right. Nice

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Ruby color, quite clean, with small pink head. Moderate acidity, light fruity presence, impression of bready malts in the background, light lemony character in the final. Not bad, but chaotic, and not particularly interesting.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a hazy red with a tiny head. Nose is quite citric, ascorbic and acidic, but not overly strong in any element. Flavour is moderately tart, with fairly high acidity, some tart berries, and ascorbic notes. Decent attempt, but this really isn't very pleasant. Seems like an accident as these flavours are harmonious or clean. Needs work.
