Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dallo zenzero. L'intensità olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore ha una scarsa tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Poche bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il finale è secco, pulito e complesso. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. L'aroma in bocca porta note di miele, pane tostato, luppolo, zenzero, spezie, resina e agrumi.

On keg at Doppio Malto, Glasgow. Appearance - clear golden with a thin white head. Nose - ginger and lemon mainly. Bread and Jamaica Cake. Taste - more of the same. Palate - medium bodied, sweet and spicy with a chewy finish. Overall - a bit dominated by an adjunct, but quite pleasant.

Keg @ Doppio Malto, occupying one part of George Square in Glasgow. Slightly deeper golden with a head. Ginger in aroma. Less obvious in taste, although evident, but more hoppy. Hides strength pretty well.

On tap at Doppio Malto Milano Duomo. - as Zingi Ale (7.0%). Darker golden coloured, medium sized white head, candy ginger in the nose. Sweet malty, candy ginger, light lemon and sweet finish. Too sweet.

Keg at the Glasgow bar. Pours golden, nose is ginger, citrus, taste is similar, refreshing.

14 September 2020. At Doppio Malto, Verona. Shared with the lovely Anke! Clear dark golden with a lasting, thin, foamy, white head. Aroma of ginger, pepper, herbs, orange peel, mango, biscuit. Taste has sweet mango, orange & biscuit, bitter ginger & herbs, a bit sour; ending dry, spicy & earthy hoppy, ginger dominant yet orange fruit & perfume providing nice accents. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. It's tricky stuff, ginger, but used well here.
