Torna un papa di Cermania, col boccale al posto dello scettro e un cappello di schiuma come mitra. Si porta dietro un profumo di affumicato, per via del fumo della proclamazione, ma il colorito (e l’animo) restano limpidi, è trasparente (negli intenti) ed è chiarissima (la fama). D’accordo, non ha un carattere vivace, come è di gusto alemanno… ma l’impasto è buono! Da Bamberga in Italia, papale papale.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours orange colour, hazy, with practically no foam. Aroma is delicately smoked, even a little barn. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is well balanced, with moderate bitterness. Finish is fairly short.

On tap @ ChiareScure Festival, Milano 2018. Il gusto al naso si deposita sull'affumicato. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. Il liquido appare velato. Il colore è giallo dorato. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è contenuto e con una punta moderatamente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Il tetto della bocca riferisce di miele, resina, agrumi e soprattutto di affumicato.

Pale, straw, slight haze. Aroma mixes pale malt and smoke. Sweet, smoky character, and it’s beech and tasty. Another smoke whore tick.

33cl bottle @ Beer for Bunnies, Bologna. BB 02/2014. Dorée sur un trouble léger, col épais blanc. Arôme est légèrement fumé rappelant bien le style typique de Bamberg. Houblonné arrive en rétro-nasal procurant des notes citronnées. Le tout reste dominé par le caractère fumé qui reste cependant parfait pour ce type de bière. Palais présente une effervescence haute mais avec ce profil fumé très agréable. Houblonné arrive en retrait ajoutant un léger fruité rappelant l’abricot et une pointe surette légèrement fleuri et herbacée. Le côté fumé malté est persistent tout comme les pointes carapils.

06/04/2013 Ma che siete venuti a fà (tap). Dorata, torbida, schiuma bianca abbondante e persistente. Al naso sentori lievi di affumicato e luppolo, equilibrata ed elegante, abbastanza pulita. In bocca ha una grande beva, affumicato leggero, un discreto amaro, buona secchezza nel finale e una leggera, gradevole sapidità. Corpo leggero, carbonazione corretta. Bella birra, ben fatta, da bere a secchiate.
