Bottle. Another great beer for Highland. Pours an dark orange-amber-copper color with a decent head and great lace.. Taste is more floral-hops then most marzen style beers. Aroma is a malty, spicy, floral with slight nuts. Good stuff.

16 ounce draft at The Dapper Dog. Traditional Oktoberfest all the way through. Flavor of toffee, bread, like malt backbone, very malt spice and the finish. Nice malt hardiness.

12 day old bottle A: Crystal clear pale amber brown with little head, retention or lace. S: Grainy toasted bread with hints of caramel and herbs. T: Sweet grain and caramel with woody notes. Light but sharp herbal or peppery hop bitterness and a bit of pine or citrus lend balance. M: Light bodied with average to low carbonation. Lightly sticky. O: Well balanced and approachable. Not great but well worth a try.

Copper color, thick tan head, toast and malt aroma. Taste is sweet malt, wood, toffee and caramel but balanced with enough floral hop bitterness to not be overly sweet or bitter. Some hop aftertaste.

The Aromas are toffee malt, with hints of roast and fruit. Flavors are similar to nose, a little sweet up front with the bitter bitterness in the back too little roast or Vienna malt. A lackluster beer.

Pour is a light clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a decent but light toasted bread malt. Flavor is again a light bready malt. It looks and taste like a oktoberfest but this is pretty light all around.

Perfectly acceptable marzen, hitting all the right notes--caramel, toffee, nuts and mild lager esters--without doing anything too remarkable with them. Noble hops add a crisp, floral bitterness to the finish, and the fade grows bready and dry. Pretty orange pour with a beige cap and slight lacing. Subdued nose gives up modest hints of caramel and yeast. Spot-on creamy yet bubbly festbier texture. Not a classic, but drinkable.
