16.9 oz bottle. Forgot about this one. Aroma is malty sweet with a little funk. Pours clear copper with a fast-disappearing beige head that collapses into a ring of big-bubbly foam. Taste is malty sweet, just bordering on cloying--which I’m sure it will get if I don’t drink it quick enough. Carbonation is average, seems to leave a film on the roof of the mouth. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. But I got Lithuania.

Lithuanian beer! I’ve been waiting my whole life to try beer from Lithuania! Oh wait. I’ve never given a shit about beer from Lithuanian. Confuse those things sometimes. Werewolf, a smelly, brown, unwelcoming brew, starts with a surprising, almost Belgian, sweetness, but quickly devolves into an odd bitterness. Not an expected hoppy bitterness, though, but a poor-water-from-unknown-European-origins bitterness. Kind of like they threw one of those potable water tablets into a semi-legitimate beer. But, come on, how can you not try a Lithuanian beer named Werewolf? (12/1/2008)

OK, did you ever notice how many beers you see from Rinkuškiai on the shelf and trhey usually have big red tags on their necks stating the percent alky? Sometimes I think this company just puts virtually the same beer into different bottles with cool names and labels. Except perhaps for the darker hefe color, this is basically the same rude over the top alky beer as their others. Terrible nasty sometimes cloying rude awakening to the palate. Heheh, Barely notice any CO2 in there. Yep, Rinkuškiai, the beers with cool labels that have only one positive attribute, high alky. Unforgetful experience wittem.

Courtesy of Ramoned. Pours deep cloudy gold with thin off white head. The aroma is very sweet with malts, caramel, more caramel and then mixing with both caramel and molasses. Did I say it smells sweet? The taste is actually similar with sweet sweet malts and caramel to go along with a brief oasis of subtle roasted malts. There is little else going on here than that. I get no real sense of the sizable ABV.

Pours a copper color with teenie white head. Then aroma is fruity and boozy. Taste is pretty bad a first, but as you keep drinking it gets a little better. Lots of booze and malt flavor. Same alcohol content as 211, but this is a lot better.

bottle - Pours copper with a one finger light tan head. It tastes of caramel and grainy malt with a touch of hops and maybe just a little fruit. It’s medium bodied and has a mild, dry finish. Easily session-able but thoroughly unremarkable.

Rich copper colour. Low carbonation. Bright caramel aroma with a light apple accent. Sweet flavour, slightly minerally and again with bright caramel. It gets a touch oily late, but then the alcohol takes over, drying out the finish.
