Black. Strong vanilla aroma and taste which implies some kind of Bourbon hook up. Balance of sweetness and bitterness is great. Smooth, rich and creamy.

Borefts VII. Day 1. Keg, in the old Mill. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and crisp. Good dark chocolate malts that also bring cream and an unusual nutty sweetness. Modest dark fruits. Spicy dry crisp finish. Decent.

First tasted beer at Borefts and my first Cascade beer. Deep brownish beige head, very dark burgundy colour, as good as black. Perfumey, powerful aroma of warm chocolate sauce, cocoa powder, cappuccino, dried banana, candi sugar, ruby port, some liquorice, some pepper. Candied sweetness, not cloying due to sourish and umami balance flavours, even a faint dried seaweed hint, thick maltiness, notes of liquorice, chocolatey and roasted bitter in the end, full and rich, finished off with warming, brandy-like alcohol and peppery hops. Lovely RIS.
