(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) Dark brown colour with ruby notes, brief beige head. Roasted nose with coffee, dark rye bread and bitter notes of earthy hops. Malty, roasted taste with earthy hops, hints of citrus and dried fruit, dark rye bread and a not so modest dose of earthy, bitter hops in a lovely finish. Very nice one.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Dark ruby, minimal head. Aroma of roasty malt and raisins. Swet with evident raisiny crystal malt character. Fruity and lightly salty. Medium bodied wth clean mouthfeel. Short salty finish.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Clear ruby colour with lasting beige head. Juicy malt and candy sugar aroma. Some cafe latte aroma too. Should be fuller in mouth. Then a mix of juicy malt and milky coffee. Then you get more grainy coffee and some spice/herb to grill the tongue. I would love to have this on draught as I think the mouthfeel would be fuller. Lovely big winter beer. It won me over as the beer went down.
