22oz bottle with green cap-pours a big foamy offwhite head that laces with hazy gold color. Aroma is citrus-orange, some light malt. Taste is citrus-orange/some grapefruit/lemon/pine hops with some bite, secondary sweet light/medium malt-bready. Crisp.

Bottle from a trade with watson1977. Pours dark golden color with white head. Citrus and caramel malt aromas. Bitter citrus flavor with a hint of sweetness. Medium body with average carbonation and a dry finish. Thanks Kerry.

Tall head on this dark bronze beer. Aroma has a decent amount of citrus and fruity hops with a mild malt background. The flavor flips the script and while having a medium hop bitterness, i found hte hop flavor to fall in behind the malts. Not bad, just a bit of a letdown.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 9/27/10

Aroma: The nose has overripe citrus fruits, resiny hops, and a bit of yeast
Appearance: This one was a big gusher out of the bottle, it pours a hazy, dark golden color with a huge, foamy, off-white head that covers the inside edges of the glass in sticky lace.
Flavor: The flavor of this one doesn't stand up to the nose, subdued, bitter, but lacking depth
Palate: The carbonation is rather soft considering the gushing, a very short duration, and a bit watery
Overall Impression: Well, this one was like a roller-coaster. First, it gushed everywhere sending beer all over my table. Then I got a whiff of that nice resiny/hoppy/fruity nose, and I thought I might be in for a good one, but alas the taste just didn't live up. It isn't a bad IPA, but it lacks depth and finishes way too quickly. I like some of the components a lot, and I'm not nearly as impressed with other parts, like I said, a roller coaster.

Silver Cap - Green Label. Deep amber coloured body with a bit of a copper glow and a very large dense tan head that leaves a very nice lacing. Aroma of strong malt, alcohol and a pungent syrupy piney hop scent - very nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive hops up front with a very bitter flavour then fading to a nice tartness and rather drying malt character. Aftertaste shows some faint bitterness and then caramel to finish. Overall, a nice IPA - not stellar, but showing a lot of good dry hopping and a substantial malt backbone. I sampled this 22 Ounce bottle purchased from Liquor Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 11-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 22-July-2010.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with an enormous orange-beige head that lingered forever. The aroma was strong sweet fruity hops, light floral hops and a touch of piney hops. The flavor was sweet and fruity with noted of orange, honey and piney hops and a nutty malty undertone. The finish was long fruity and floral hops and turned a bit dry. Medium body. Solid.

Courtesy of Gillard. Pours dirty copper with gold edges and off white head. The aroma is pretty full with spice, hops, vague citrus hops, a bit of earthy hops and a mild backbone of malt sweetness. The taste begins neutral as floral, spice and mild tangelo hop bitterness grow quickly to midway. Riding along with the hops (but in the back seat) is a bit of malt sweetness. The hop bitterness persists into the finish as the malts fade. After a few ounces I begin to realize how this brew has some pretty decent hop bitterness into the finish and after taste.

courtesy of gillard. Pours orange with white head. Aroma is fruity, malty, with light hops. Taste, light notes of nuts, floral hops and malts traces of white grapes. Fairly good IPA.

Yes, looks like a typical IPA. Slightly cloudy and a little darker than ubiquitous pale yellow. Creamy alabaster head. Does not have that usual hoppy or pine aroma that I associate with most IPA, It’s just a little tart on the olfactory. One taste however, enforces the fading memory of strong IPA. A hop shock that is not quickly forgotten. IMHO this is an excellent example of the style. Barely any carbonation. Has some barnyard farm hints in the flavor too. This is the only thing that saves me from the terrible grapefruit rind offense. If you like IPA, better seek this out, its good trade bait. Finish is usual IPA bitter medicine lingering yuk, which is just plain too much for my girlie lager taste buds.
