Belgian-style pale ale

Inspired by the fresh, sessionable beers on the Belgian dinner table, we’re bringing back a 2015 favorite. This hoppy Belgian-style pale ale is bright and flavorful with an assertive hop character. Serve from bottle. Aroma is Belgian yeast, little stale hoppiness and some yoghurt notes. Flavour is lemon, bread, lots of spice from the yeast. Essentially a hoppy saison. Quite nice.

Hazy golden. Bright spice with a solid cracker malt backbone. Light fruit notes, too. Finish has a hint of funk. Medium body with high carbonation. Good crisp bite to finish it out. Highly enjoyable.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow to orange color with a one finger white concave foamy head. Moderately paced dissipation, with some semi-thick lacing.
The smell started off with some sweet floral to grassy and then lemon sweet hops. Floral bitter hops. Delicate citrus hops. Light pepper.
The taste was mainly florally sweet. Sly bready aftertaste. Smooth sweet to light floral finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rides light with a crisp sweet malty smoothness hitting my tongue.
Overall, I would say this was a pretty good Belgian Pale ale that I could come back to.

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy blond color, with a large head. Nice Belgian Ale aroma, deep, spicy. Dry mouthfeel, very dry; spicy yeast, astringent, but the flavor is rather poor, and the bitterness is somehow chicory-like.
Ok, nothing great.

Bottle split at ABC Beer The Hague, 24/09/2015. Thanks. A hazed yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is floral wheat, fresh grains, fresh grassy hop. Little belgian yeast on the nose. Flavour is composed of nice straw, hay grains, fresh floral hop, grassy, little wheat. Palate is wheaty, grainy, highish carbonation and a crisp finish. Good stuff.

0,75 l bottle bought in a BevMo in Santa Maria, CA. Unclear yellow in the glass, more than two finger foamy and long lasting white head. Little bit fruity with dry wheat on the nose.Taste starts hopy, then a more spicy sequence, less fruity, increasing dry bitterness in the middle. Dry mid bitter aftertaste with fruity sourness in the background. Okay.

750 ml. bottle shared with Kraddel. Hazy orange, huge head, creamy white, lacing. Nose is big green floral with a sweet milky yeast base, yeast is mellow, creamy & enjoyable, white sugar sweet & very fain banana. Taste is white bread, milky sweet yeast, creamy, white sugar, balanced & not excessive in that aspect, balanced with low floral qualities, light touch mineral, some sweet banana, almost dash of almond or vanilla. Very creamy body. Sweet but not overly so, some nice flourished besides sweet, leaving the discussion behind of this being a “table beer”, this is a very solid Belgian Ale, nice work.
