Ive figured out what type of hop it is! Its the boring hop. Very little aroma, very very light citrus, and thats about it. Sweet flavor, and a very bitter finish. There really wasnt much to this other than a touch of citrus followed by some bitterness.

Évaluation no. 72 Février 2011.

Bottle received in trade. thank you pushkinwow! Pours tiny hazy goldenish amber with a frothy goldenish beige head that slowly dissipates while that leaves lots of sticky lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is malty and fruity with sweet dark bread, overripe tropical fruits, grapefruit juice, pine cones, biscuits, golden syrup, moist grass, lemon zest and hints of alcohol. Taste is very sweet, malty, fruity and tiny herbal with biscuits, caramel, toffee, sweet dark bread, aspartame, pine needles, moist grass, lemon balm, grapefruit rinds, lemon zest, orange zest, alcohol, paint and lots of overripe almost rotten tropical fruits. Mouthfeel is round, tiny boozy, astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with biscuits, caramel, grapefruit rinds, lemon zest, orange peal, grass, pine and hints of soil. I suspect this wasn’t very fresh to begin with and I held on to it for too long too but I also suspect this isn’t very good fresh either.

Bouteille 500ml.

A reddish amber ale with a thick collapsing lacing moka head. In aroma, caramelly biscuit malt with herbaceous and mineral hops, greasy and fat, some piney notes. In mouth, a strong butterscotch malt, oily and viscous, with resinous but herbal hopping, lingering in mouth, not bad but not my favourite in the bunch. 4.99$.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber color ale with a quite large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of light citrus notes with piney hops is quite intense. Taste is more hop-centric then other beers from this series with also a solid caramel malt backbone. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed and surprisingly one of my favourite from this series with more intense hoppiness.
