On tap as "Slaapmutske Hop Collection East Kent Goldings". Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a lasting white head. Strong alcohol aroma, marmalade, esters, ice tea, sweet, grassy, rotten fruits and apricot. Flacors are sweet (cloying), apricot, marmalade, sugar, mildly boozy. No balance, very cloying. Medium bubbles, huge/oppressive body, warming.

3oz pour is a hazy orange with some lacing, white head. Big boozy nose, tropical fruit, candy sugar, pineapple, apple schnapps, lemon, honey. Flavors of apples, honey, spiced mead, tropical fruit, mango, pineapple. Full bodied, boozy finish. Where are the East Kent Goldings? The base was too big for the hop bill.

This is actually the same beer as the Slaapmutske Hop Collection East Kent Goldings. They ought to be aliased. However, my second try is the Pressklubben bottled, rather than the draught Hop Collection EKG Very good and stable, fine & dense, very lightly yellowish head, leaving lacerings over lively carbonated amber-golden beer. Creamy nose, not really hoppy. To my surprise, there is again a faint acetic smell mixed in. Liquorice, hops, very toasted Petit Beurre cookies, and an acidic, but not acetic touch. The more I taste it, the more it reminds me of unripe strawberries. Fresh vegetables, but also lots of sulphur. Finish has indeed something buttery, not diacetyl but butyric acid or so. Very carbonated feel, quite slick, alcohol remains hidden. Bit sharpish. Better than the draught sample. But there IS a strange sourness, that I doubt to be intentional. Tak, Jens!Earlier Rating: 3/6/2011 Total Score: 2.6 Draught Very thick-set, yellow-cream coloured head over coppery-golden beer. Sourish nose, pickles, acetic - oops! More pickles but less vinegar, dried herbs, and something like batter or dough. Medium bodied at best; some alcohol perceptible. Creamy texture. Remains drinkable, certainly seen its presumed ABV, but the nose spelled infection and doom. I find it hard to believe, such thing would escape Proefbrouwerij’s tests. Was something wrong with the keghead or did someone omit to clean the pipes overnight? Will be retested bottled under its original Swedish name...

Bottled@Pressklubben, Stockholm. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruits, glue, some mild sweet malts, vanilla and mild yeastyness. Flavour is quite similar. A bit too alcoholic for my taste, otherwise quite nice.

Draught (Pressklubben, Stockholm, shared by Omhper, thanks) - Golden with a white head. Musty aroma with some elements of lambic and some notes of lemon and grapefruit detected. The taste is moderately bitter with a noticeable, yet nicely balanced sweetness featuring sugar, grapefruit, spice and some lemon meringue pie. The musty notes are present throughout. Interesting and fairly tasty.
