Good beige head, reasonably stable over fully opaque reddish brown beer. Rum, very nutty, walnut, Madeira, aged beer in the good way. Surprisingly bitter flavour, certainly seen the nose. Finish is more nutty, walnutpeel, bitter Madeira. Further bitter grapes, raisins, rum and a hint of vanilla. Lots of alcoholheat, chewy, well bodied, not overly carbonated. The beer is more than OK, likeable; but this is as much Saison as I am a Hobbit!

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2016) Hazy amber colour with brief, frothy head. Fruity, vinous nose with notes of dried fruit, citrus, rum and a touch of glue. Fruity, vinous taste with citrus, dried fruit, oak wood, rum, vanilla, glue, orange peel, a touch of Grand Marnier and a finish with a generous citric bitterness and a warming alcohol glow. Full body, with a certain sweetness. A bit unbalanced and boozy, but really tasty and enjoyable in sipping amounts. Nice one.

Draft @ Het Schooltje courtesy of Carlo. Shared with the UnPer100 crew.

Keg at the school, Oostvleteren, 21/11/15. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is light barrel notes, toffee, spice, trace of yeast, dark fruit rinds, booze tunes. Taste comprises mellow dark fruits, earthy, spice, caramel, trace of hops, light rum baba, straw, farmy. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol. Solid enough BA affair, masks the ABV bery well although it is evident.
