330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a tiny head. Aroma of vinegar, balsamico, hints of vinous notes, berries, tartness and yeast. Taste is sour, vinous and vinegary with hints of balsamico, berries, yeast and red wine. Finish is sour, tartish and vinous with hints of vinegar. Pretty aggressive.

Bottle thanks to Rainer. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong molasses, leather, pure sugar, wood. Medium mouth, sherry, wood, very tart, boozy finish, very good.

Flasche (Ypres Reserva 2011, 33 cl, abgefüllt 9/2014) vom Bierzwerg. - Undurchdringliches Schwarz, hellbrauner Schaum. - In der Nase robuste, an Weinessig erinnernde fruchtige Säure, schwarze Johannisbeere, ganz schwache Bitterschokolade. - Antrunk intensiv sauer, Obstessig, Zitronensaft, adstringierend.

33 cl. bottle, poured in to a Snifter. Label says "Reserva 2011", bottled in Sept. 2014. Very dark red, bordering black colour with a creamy, lightly tanned head. Tart aroma with red, sourish berries, vinegar, plums, wooden and vinous notes, leather, alcohol, red wine barrel, grapefruit and dark toffee lingering. Taste is medium sour. Medium to full body with a pleasent velvet-like texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes lasting dry and acidic with red wine barrel. A superb experience from Struise!
