Late check-in from when I was Jimbocho, Tokyo 5 yrs ago. The adorable Yoko filled the back of the coaster with notes and played the Kinks.

Bottle into a snifter showing well filtered deep amber and no head. The nose shows moderately intense notes of aged honey and flowers. The palate is light bodied and spicy carbonation. Moderately intense flavours of sweet malt with honey in the background.

Deep golden color. Sweet honey, flower and a touch of bread. Like a mead beer. Very malty. A bit is just fine for me. Sweet honey finish.

330 ml bottle. Pours clear amber coloured, fluffy head. Nose of vanilla and honey. Clove, banana, coriander, honey, orange zest, some peach. Balanced taste, some sweetness with dry bitterness. Lively carbonated, medium bodied, watery to creamy texture, dry finish. Lovely honey ale.

Uit een beugelfles. Geur vind ik wat minder, iets zoetig, maar niet echt honing. Heldere gouden kleur. In de smaak wel honing. Redelijk, maar voor mij geen topper.
