This batch of Bright was created to be a clean and elegant showcase for a notoriously delicious hop - Citra! It is crafted with a simple malt bill and fermented with clean American Ale yeast to create fresh ingredients than an expression of yeast character. The taste follows suit with notes of orange juice, grapefruit, and tangerine with a gentle finish. She is dry, soft, and adequately bittered resulting in a very approachable and thirst quenching!

Can, by way of a trade. Pretty hazy, dark straw colour. Film of white head, that laces every part of the glass. A little bit leggy. Great looking beer. Nose has orange and lemon rind. Yellow melon skin. Some white pepper and soft herb in the background. Definitely a little out of the ordinary. Taste is pithy and oily citrus bitter. Minimal sweetness. Some dryness on the back end. Typically soft and juicy mouthfeel. Drinks like pop. Soft, citrusy bitter finish, that dries a little on the close.

Canned 3/21/17, shared with Nelson on 4/13/17.
Not soupy or even tremendously hazy, but showing a translucent brass-copper body topped by a medium-sized, white head of moderate retention.
Opens with light powdered sugar, cereal-like corn, vanilla and sweaty Citra notes with even some light sulfur. Very interesting and quite yeast-influenced, obviously (though hops can certainly throw out some funk, as well, and I wouldn’t put it past Citra hops to create some strange compounds). Interesting bubble gum and watermelon with no alcohol or resin, of course.
Ample, tight carbonation and a soft, juicy malt and hop combination with high attenuation, as always, from TH. Tons of esters with all sorts of melon character. Very subdued on the actual citrus; there is some bright tangerine and lemon but it’s soaked up by the melon character and moderate honey from the malt. Weird stuff, completely unexpected, but still enjoyable, I thought.

Can shared by Benzai, canned 01 10 17, 15 cl sample. Hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma is very grassy, some citrus and a hint of cookie malt. Very bitter, almost over the top for me, clean and crisp. Citra didnt shine as tropical fruit, but was almost overdone and giving a very grassy character. Decent, but not superb.

50 cl can from trade with desp59, huge thanks! Shared with Caesar. Clear orange golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma is malts, hops, grassy hops. Taste malts, hops, grassy hops, light hop bitter. Lovely fresh IPA, can’t really say I think this is a true Imperial IPA but it’s a real nice beer.

Can dated 1/10/17. It pours a clear light orange golden color with a creamy white head. The aroma is heavy with mango, guava and passionfruit. A little sweet tropical fruit runts candy. Very tropical for Citra. Smells more like Mosaic. The flavor is nice with an oily mouth feel, lots of mango and guava. Good carbonation. It’s a tad on the low side, but allows the flavor and texture to really shine. There’s some tropical candy-like Runts, but not sweet. Low bitterness. Creamy. So good!
