Rocky tan head stayed on a dark brown body. Sweet malt, liquorice & berries aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp back. Liquorice, malt, roasted & berry tastes with a bitter fruity finish. Decent Stout.

Panda to home, thanks to SHIG, 01/08/20. Mid black with a cap formed of tan bubbles that dissipate edgeward. Nose is dark fruit rinds, chocolate biscuit, toffee, brown sugar sprinkle. Taste comprises cocoa powder, toffee, mellow roast, fruit cake, brown bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent flavoursome stout.

25/7/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at our second Cumbrian bottle share. Pours dark chestnut brown with a bubbly/frothy beige head. Aroma of light roasted malt, dark chocolate, toffee, coffee, oats and touch of liquorice. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth creamy texture, soft carbonation. Dark chocolate, fruit finish. Decent.

Deep brown pour with a fizzy tan head. Very thin watery body with harsh carbonation. Chocolate, light roasted malt, some molasses in aroma. Similar flavor. The body is way too thin to support this brew. Ok at best.

Cask at the brewpub. Clear black coloured pour with reddy hues and a lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is milky roast, mineral, damp campfire, earthy. Flavour is composed of black roast, burnt toast, earthy mineral, twig Palate is light and smooth, lowish carbonation. Tangy bitter roast I. The finish.

On cask at Black Bull Coniston - Jet black body, thin tan head. Nose is roasted grain, bit of porridge, hoppiness there too. Taste is similar, nice burnt bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle from Booths, Settle. Black, no head. Quite a light tasting stout with a medium body, it does however have some roasted malt evident.
