Bottle from Bottle Baron. Deep brown/black body with a medium tan head. Aroma of shoe polish, dark chocolate, burnt coffee, digestive biscuits and earth. Flavour of orange, ash, backcurrant and cigar. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Light fizz. A classy beer that packs a lot of complexity into 6.0% ABV. Straddles the line between Stout and Black IPA.

Almost black, inkdark, moderate tan to brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, earth, oats, a bit vinous. Medium body. Oily. Dry taste with notes similar to the nose. Proper medium bitterness. Good

355ml bottle @ The Dog & Doublet, Wolverhampton. Pours very dark brown with good tan head. Aroma is roast & choccy. Taste is big in roast and smooth chocolate with a creamy oatmeal texture and comforting deep flavour. Very good.

Rated from old notes. Dark, creamy, rich, deeply roasted, heavy with an almost acrid bitterness in the aftertaste. Did not think I would like this at the outset, but it does grow on you.

Pours a black from a tap. Nitro head like a moussey froth. Not much going on here, sweet milk stout. Abit of smoke. Meh.

Cask at GBBF 2015, Olympia, London. A black coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, slightly sweet. Nice stout but keg would have improved it.

Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours near black with a small light tan head. The nose is soft, bitter-sweet, rich chocolate, coffee, fudge cake and icing sugar. The taste is rich, bitter-sweet, oily, cocoa, toasty, coffee grounds, earthy roast, mild acidity, umami and liquorice with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Works pretty well on cask. Smooth and easy-going, but not a whole lot to it. Pretty enjoyable anyhow.
