750 ml bottle. Aroma is bready, grainy, SweeTarts, lemon, chalk, floral. Pours nearly clear golden with a long-sustaining off-white head with great retention. Taste is sweet and boozy, lightly tart. I was hoping this wasn’t going to be boozy, but I was kind of expecting it.

Apricot and lemon zest aroma, not strong. Hazy amber, thin head. Apricot, lemongrass, banana finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. Nice.

Draft at Spacebar. Poured a mostly clear golden yellow color with a small wispy white head. Aroma was lots of booze. Lots of sugar notes, spices are light, but there. Boozy finish. Flavor was light fruits, sweet booze. Touch of coriander and peppercorn. It’s a big beer.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a golden yellow color with a good transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a rapidly dissipating white semi-foamy head. Lacing sticks nicely around the glass.
The smell starts off with basic citrus weaving into some nice Belgian spices. Coriander becomes the main spice that ends up showing its face just a tad more. Light breadiness slides in to balance.
The taste was moderately spicy with a dry sweetness claiming itself in the aftertaste and leading into a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sipping to sessionable feel about it. Carbonation runs light, but then again, that could be due to the age.
Overall, this was a pretty good Belgian Strong Pale Ale that I could have again. I’ll definitely look for fresher next time.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of herbs, banana, light bubblegum. Tastes of herbs, light spice, bubblegum, banana. Medium body with a dry finish.

Brought up from Buffalo by my lovely sister-in-law to be consumed most unpartrotically at the cottage on Canada day. (Belgian-style American beer in Canada. Multi-culturalism check.) Classic Belgian tripel with extra head. Hay-malty nose with syrup citrus and a touch of booze. First taste is great rich sundrenched hay, yeasty breadiness, tangerine and citrus, a little booze pushiness, and a overall sweetness. And that sweetness builds, and builds as the bottom of the bottle rises toward the surface. And that is the shortcoming for me - too sweet. If the beer was a little drier it would be getting a 4ish like you see above and below my rating. Ah well.

750ml bottle shared @Mad For Beer (Rome) with ippopotamo36. Deep, unclear amber color with a decent off-white foam. Aroma is caramel, toffee, honey, brown sugar, no traces of hops. Flavour is powerful but unbalanced and a bit boring, very sweet, honey, toffee, caramel, some yellow fruits in the end. Medium to full body, low carbonation. So so...
