Draft at the Lord Nelson, Sydney. Poured a mostly clear golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma a grainy, light hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, light citrus, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Draft at the brew-pub Jan 2018, from historic notes. A beer described on the font as 'an English Bitter'. Pours lightly hazed pale golden with a white head. Aroma: biscuit malts, light earthy hops. Taste: light sweet, more biscuit malts, caramel hints, a little floral. Light body with average carbonation

On tap at Lord Nelson, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and gentle English hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with biscuity malt, English hops and a touch of floral astringency. Decent stuff.

Tap. Neutral aroma. Hazy yellow, White head. Mealy malt, bittering hops with a hint skunkiness, aromatic hops hidden behind flour. Medium light body, sparkly. Not my favorite.

Pint on tap. Light malt nose. Light golden beer with thin white head. Quite carbonated in the mouth. Fruity and bitter, touch of caramel in the finish. Very refreshing, nice.

Hazy light tan. Thin head. The nose is toasty, mushroomy, somewhat stale English hops. Balanced brew.
