Cask at the Crown Rivers (JDW), LHR T5 - 02/10/12. Nice little 6.05 am starter for breakfast! Slightly hazy copper brown with a good sized frothy off-white head. A decent amount of lacing ensued. Malt forward nose, fruit, toffee, a little syrup. Taste follows, biscuit malt, toffee, caramel, bread and fruit tones. Medium bodied with moderate soft carbonation lending towards a bitter finish. Overall a drinkable drop but not too exciting even at 6 in the morning!

Cask at the Crown Rivers, Heathrow T5, of course. Finally found this available, but was it worth the wait - not really. A hazy amber pint with a tight cream head; malty aroma with some apple; then some quite tart apple flavours over some biscuity malts, and some doughy undercooked bread; leaving a slightly sour finish. Not very exciting.

3rd June 2010 - Weatherspoons @ T5 Heathrow. Clear light amber beer, not much head. Moderate carbonation. Light dry thin palate. Pretty well balanced - a light toffeeish malt and some light bitter orange from the hops. Fresh and has a sweet note right before the finish. Okay but a tad to dry.
