Bottle 500ml (PBF IX)
Amber color, small off-white head. Hoppy, worty aroma. Full-bodied. Very hoppy, a bit ryeish, some worty flavors. Some fruityness. Quite bitter. Much more DIPA than barley wine. Not really my thing.

50 cl bottle @ PBF Ⅸ, BBE 01/2015
Aroma is heavy, malty and sweet with some strawberries and caramel. Flavour is rather sweet with caramel, some harsh malt and strawberries. Finishes with lingering hops. Also some warming alcohol. Heavy, malty and hoppy - like barley wines usually are. But this lacks something to reach the top. Also, this becomes rather sweet towards the end of the glass, which eats the drinkability.

500ml Bottle - Dark amber/copper in colour. Pine, toffee and dried fruit in the aroma. Hoppy, fruity and slightly sweet taste with notes of pine, soapy hops, dried apricot, toffee and raisins. Very drinkable. This is one of the beers that shows how the lines between hoppy barley wines and double India pale ales are often blurred.
