Rich, amber hue and full-bodied flavor begin with roasted, domestic caramel malt. It’s sweetness is then tempered with genuine Cascade hops, which are added again at the end of the boil for a distinctive, citric-floral aroma.

Bottle from Brewdad for update; Nose is caramel malts and piney hops; pale amber color with a small white head; flavor shows maltiness with a light hop finish.

Loose bottle from Sam’s Wines, Downers Grove. Nice pour, cloudy with bubbles at first, then they retreat to a thick head over an amber beer. Smell has some rich toffee malts and a hint of raisin. Taste is somewhat chewy, but very drinkable. Hints of smoke and maybe some lactic. Plenty more Scottish character than a plain ol’ amber. Late hops make their presence known, too.

Pour is a brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice caramel/malt combo. Flavor is a good mix of caramel malts with just the faintest touch of hops. An ok beer from one of my least favorite styles.

Nice amber color is dark and rich. Taste is a nice blend of malts, caramels, foral tones, and some fruitiness/citrus. Finish is smooth and malty - very drinkable amber ale.

Bottled. Pale amber, small head. ARoma of citric hops with butterscotch underneath, Dryish with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Rich toffee flvaour with plenty of hops to compliment it. Balanced spicy bitterness. Uncomplicated but good!

Not quite as good as their IPA, but still a nice brew. Pours a nice deep amber color with a rather substantial head. Taste is heavy with caramel which lead into a hoppy finish. The tastes kind of fall apart at the end though, due to a bit of an acid/acrid something-or-other that is my only complaint with this one.

Bottle Pours a clear medium amber with a modest offwhite head. Spotty lacing. Aroma sesm to be a decent ballance of citrusy hops and malts. Flavors are fairly hopy and wody. A bit acidic and bitter. Feel is thin and aftertaste is a bitter woody flavor. Nothing special.

Orange amber ale with a thick white head, with good retention and lacings. Malty aroma with notes of cinnamon hearts and wet dog, which burries the hops. Sweet malt base with pleasant resinous hops. Medoium bodied. Oily mouthfeell. Thanks to Prez. Probably the Pacific Western BC version, so my hats off to them

Paid $1.09 for a 12-oz single. Very pretty amber color, with a small, soft looking head. Nice sweet peach/grapefruit in the nose... very appetizing. Decent, but kinda plain taste. Nothing sticks out too much, but once in awhile, that's nice. The slighest floral hint in the aftertaste is the strongest this beer gets... which might make is a great session beer, especially for non-beer drinkers. I must say, while this beer didn't WOW me, I did quite enjoy it.

This is a very pretty beer witha deep amber hue and off white head. The aroma is malt and hops and this sets up the flavor profile as well. A little hoppy for an Amber ale, but it is from Portland where everything has plenty of hops. Not bad, but largely unremarkable.
