Very little head, and what’s there is fizzy and disappears quickly. Aroma is alcohol, tin, and malt. Taste is smooth cardboard with a tin finish and a slight cream aftertaste. This one isn’t working. How did it become an "instant favourite"?

Draught at the taproom
Amber color, creamy head. Caramel aroma, lightly nutty. It has an average nutty caramel flavor, and correct bitterness. It’s a fairly well brewed Amber, without excitement.

Sample, draught, drank on site, savoured on February 9 2007; eye: caramel with golden reflections, no effervescence, clear, beige head; nose: malt, tannin (?), floral hops; mouth: soft malt almost caramel, a bit of grainy hops, creamy texture, short finale without much taste but I can feel on the creamy texture some lightly grainy hops, quite carbonated, medium body, texture is also grainy, mildly bitter; overall: correct FRANÇAIS Échantillon, en fût, bue sur place, savourée le 9 février 2007; oeil : caramel avec des reflets dorés, pas d’effervescence, petite mousse beige, claire; nez : malt, tanin (?), fleur de houblon; bouche : malt doux presque caramel, petit houblon granuleux, texture crémeuse, finale courte et peu savoureuse mais je perçois sur la texture crémeuse un houblon légèrement granuleux, très carbonatée, corps moyen, texture est aussi granuleuse, moyennement amère; en résumé : correct

Reddish amber ale with a thick collpasing light moka head. Caramel malts, pineapples, berries and light boiled eggs. In mouth, sweet caramel, with very light bitter hops, but short in mouth again. A boring beer!

Amber coloured crystal clear body with a thin tan head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Medium-bodied; Sweet caramel flavour with malt flavours throughout. Mild aftertaste with not much else lingering. Overall-decent, just not great. I sampled this 12 ounce bottle on 15-May-2004 at the May RB Party in Toronto, Ontario.
