Hazy orange - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy with mild fine carbonation. Good malts, trace of caramel. Rich orange hops, lesser marmalade. Light malt cream before the light finish. A tasty and well balanced barleywine.

Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy amber, with lumps in. Thick, lasting, off white head. Very light, dry white wine aroma. A little toastiness. Taste is dried fruit dry. Light tartness. Soggy, sweet palate. Finish is dry. Some white grape sweetness. Hate giving a Partizan beer a crap rating...

Bottle from Partizan Brewery, Bermondsey on the London Hicksters Crawl, Saturday 26th Westholme Stores, consumed at Hastings Touring Park, Hastings Saturday 3rd May 2014 A cloudy murky brown colour with an attractive white head. Very slight sourness on the nose, this does not follow through into the mouth. A little chewy with flavours typical of a Barley Wine but this is a little raggy around the edges, the fruity tang a little rough and the alcohol clearly rears its head as this is indeed a big beer. Maybe I should have left this to mature a while as I was unimpressed. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 2.9

Bottle at home, thanks to Leighton for muelling, 20/12/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a moderate off white covering that retains as a pond. Nose is caramelised sugars, toffee sauce, nutty, light booze, woody tones, vanilla essence. Taste comprises caramel fudge, light tobacco, brown sugar Medium bodied with a kick, fine carbonation Easy drinking barley wine, hides the ABV well
