Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, fruity, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is rather sweet and moderate bitter. Finish is dry and spicy. The Belgian yeast really shows. 140407

500ml bottle, thanks to Skinnyviking. (Almost) clear dark amber body with a low, white head. Fruit-oily aroma with spicy notes. Flavour on the sweet side with honey, late banana and orange. Ends with yeast and noticeable alcohol. Heavy, but though pretty fair (shared with Finn Arvid, Copenhagen 31.05.2008).

(Draught at Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 27 March 2008. 7,5% abv) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with notes of caramel, apricots, orange peel, mandarin and roses. Fruity taste with orange, apricots and flowers. Rather sweet, slightly above medium body, spicy and floral bitterness in the finish. Nice beer. Did also try the 2007 vintage (same beer, aged one year), it came out mainly with the same characteristics, but with more cellar notes and lacking the freshness of the current vintage.

2008 version. bottle 7.5% (is this the same one as previous years????). The aroma is very fruity and very pleasant, but the taste is even better. A very mild "easter beer", alc. well hidden. Tastes a little of banana which is a nice distraction from the alc. dominated taste of other easter brews. I really liked this one, and can’t wait till they go on sale in a month or two. extra points for being experimental.

50 cL bottle and tap, 7.5% 2008. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Very banana fruity and spiced aroma. Medium to full bodied. Caramel malt sweet flavour, again with a solid fruit note and a subdued Belgian yeast spice note. Ends with a lingering spice and fruit flavour. Solid warmth provide from the alcohol. Distinctly a weizen bock in my book - yet with a somewhat flavoured by a Belgian yeast strain. 6-3-6-12=3.0
From tap at Ølbaren, 2007 version. Pours hazy dark orange with dense off-white head. Aroma is dense caramel malty with a mild yeasty flavour. Smooth yeasty and caramel malt, light sweetness on top. Slight sticky sweetness. Ends with lingering yeasty note and a smoth malty sweet flavour.7-3-7-3-14=3.4

(50 cl bottle purchased in Helsingör, Denmark) Shady orange color, fluffy tan head. Citrus and hoppy scent, also some banana esters. Strong yeasty and alcohol taste, some hops. After a while, and with food, a pleasant sort of weissbier taste emerges. Smooth mouthfeel, spicy aftertaste. Low bitterness.
