Malt and toffee in the aroma. Sweetish flavor with roasted malt and caramel. Just a touch of citrus. Powerful, though the alcohol is hardly noticed. Well made dubbel.

Bittle at drunk monk ( yes, I have to travel to spain to find BE ticks ) pours dark, yet clear, caramelly brownm small white head, mddium stable. Loads of eggwhite islands on top. Medium lacing. Smell is sugar, in a more complex aromatic, dark fruity form. Taste has some oxidation / metallic aspects. The taste of chocolate you eat at easter, but you got it from santa. Some caramel. Leaves Bit earthy pretty alright, actually. I love the fainted chocolate note.

23/01/2016 - 33cl bottle shared with my brother-in-law @ his friend’s place. Brown colour with some red, small head. Nose is malts, caremel, spices. Taste is the same with some earthiness, dry ending.

6/IX/15 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ home - BB: 18/VII/18 (2015-1165) Thanks to Bierridder_S for the trade!

Clear red brown beer, creamy irregular beige head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: dried fruits, liquorish, caramel, bit sweet, some alcohol, malty, aniseed maybe? MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very spicy, liquorish, dried fruits, some overripe banana. Aftertaste: very spicy, liquorish, caramel, dried fruits, little bitter, orange peel, rather oxidized...

Dark counterpart of Ronsischen Tripel with moussy, creamy, light beige head and dark brownish ruby colour. Sweet and fruity, brambleberries, dates, banana, blueberries, subtle coriander, floral hops on a full dark maltiness with candi syrup, a bit fatty mouthfeel, mild bitterish finish. On the strong and sweet side for a dubbel, but correct and balanced.

Bottle @ home. Very nice clear deep dark red color with a medium sized beige to light brown head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair lacing. Don’t get a lot of aroma. Taste has malts, caramel, slightly chocolate, lightly some grains and decently sweet-bitter. Quite like it, nice abbey dubbel. Medium body and carbonation. Well done.

Bottle, 7.4%. Fruity and roasted aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Big stable rocky light brown head. The flavour is quite fruity, has a little dried apricot. The finish is roasted and quite dry. Not bad.
