This long-awaited iteration of Oblivion is a sour red ale aged with double the standard amount of blackberries and dates in bourbon barrels. These flavorful Kentucky barrels are then artfully blended to enhance the intense fruit and higher abv.

Strong red currant, oak, sherry, prune nose. Murky brown, headless. Extremely tart red currant, brief sweet prune at midpalate. Oak and wormwood finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. Very special. Not bourbony.

Keg at Bottle Shop. It pours deep ruby reddish with a small beige head. The aroma is earthy, musty, tart, dried fruits, fruit cake, tangy berry, oak, vanilla, sweaty and fruit compote. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, bright acidity kick, earthy, musty, blackberry, blueberry, vanilla, jam, oak, earth and a touch of alcohol with tangy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Hides the Abv well hidden. Not bad at all, perhaps could have more depth.
