Oxford tasting; corked
Cloudy red-amber color. Weird aroma, mild, but there is cheese, foot, rotting wood, rotting fruit. Highly carbonated, good body strength, reasonable malt base with a strong fruity and juicy, strong acidity, mildly astringent.
Solid.

Bottle - Red plum, soured fruity red grape. Deep copper and a small white head. Soured plum, malts and acidic notes. Touch of light balsamic and cooked Apple with some barrel. Nice, but the Zinfandel is a bit lost.

Bottle, shared round at Jeff’s. Deep, rose pink. Slimmest ring of white. Nose has sweet balsamic. Red wine vinegar. Cherry stone. Lots of vanilla oak. Some stewed dessert apple. Taste is sweet and oaky. Vinegary Flanders sourness. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Tangy and sweet finish in equal measure.

Sample during "Hillary’s Portland to Columbus Beer & Birthday Bash!" on 01/20/2018. Hazy mahogany-amber color with a medium thick light beige head that recedes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of oak, vine fruits, yeast and malt. Medium body with a vinous oaky character and flavors of citrus, yeast, and caramel malt. The finish is tart with a berry wine aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is very fruity with red wine grapes, cherry, berry and cassis. Light raisin and plum notes. Hints of malt with caramel and toasted bread. Pours an amber color with brown hues and a medium large, thick, tan head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with balanced sweetness. Some light caramel, toffee and toasted bread notes. Nice red wine grape notes, with some cherry, berry and cassis. Some plum and raisin notes as well. Light oak and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium to medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice beer. The acidity isn't too sharp and is well balanced with the sweetness. Tons of fruitiness with balanced wine characteristics.
