Vraie bière de terroir, la Saison Voisin a une touche houblonnée (40 EBU) et une jolie robe ambrée. Faible en alcool et très désaltérante, elle convient parfaitement pour se rafraîchir par temps chaud.

Nice copper coloured body with light rose tints and a thin off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, alcohol & light spices. Light to Medium-bodied; Sharpish taste of malt up front with a little musty and barnyard tastes, then showing some subtle caramel and spices at the end. Aftertaste is fairly bitter and tastes like metal somewhat. Overall, a decent beer - definitely NOT a saison, more of a belgian ale, good not strong in either category, though. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 15 July 2006 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Hazy copper color with a frothy off-white head. Aromas of yeast and light fruits. Medium body with creamy frothy carbonation. Flavor is very lightly barnyard with lots of fruit and yeast aspects. Really both dry and astringent. Also bitter. A saison for the sophisticated palate. If you’re disappointed, take it up with Leon. Seriously underrated.

Bottle: Poured a brown with white lacing head. Aroma sour with malt. Taste is a metallic with citrus fruit and acidic finish!

ZBF 2008 on the Saturday Poured light brown in colour, with surprisngly good clarity although on reflection maybe there was just some haze in there. I didn’t find this typical of the style though I hasten to add it really was a very nice beer. Tasty, refreshing, not as citrussy as expected, but still with good bite, some drying going on in mouth, but I think it was quite a good beer.

Bottle. An orange, unclear beer with lots of small floaties, and a small, off-white head. Honey-sweet nose with tea, fruits and some yeast. Sweet, yet dry and dusty in the mouth, with yeast and fruits and a little touch of spices. Medium, slightly sticky flavor with a pleasant bitterness in the finish. A rather strange one. (080112)

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr/Ungstrup. Slightly hazy, amber golden with a dense, off-white head that leaves some lacework. Sweetish, fruity, lightly flowery aroma. Light in the body with dry, floral accents and a dry quinine-like, bitter finish. 120108
