Bottle from Premiere Gourmet in Buffalo. Nice hay malts, thick on the palate. A touch of both green and ripe mango, a little honey. Finish with a thin touch of sour and bitterness.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy golden orange, small white head, great lacing. Aroma is fruity, oak, melon, grapefruit , mango, did I say fruity? Flavors is light tart, more fruit, stonefruit. Not much done though. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Bottle late night watching an odd Australian flick. Fine dirty gold looking beer. Nose is fruity with some mineral notes. Tastes of apricot, mango, grassy, vitamins, aspirin, minerals. Sweet fruity palate. Hint of spice on finish. Bit too fruity for my taste but still good.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a medium golden color with a huge foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was bubblegum, yeast, mustiness and stone fruits. The flavor was musty and sweet with stone fruits, tropical fruits, yeast, sugar and hints of booze and medicine. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Well done.

Draught at The Independent, 9/13/16.
Quite clear, light, waxen-yellow body has a hint of bronze to it and a small, white head atop showing moderate retention.
Initially, the De Proef signature yeast rises up in the aroma, showing its tell-tale metal-meets-dirt-meets-earth sort of thing. Thankfully, whatever else they’ve added to this quickly comes in to play and lightly tart souring bacteria is noted, as well as plentiful nectarine-tangerine-pineapple. Very dry and fading at this point, given that the beer is now a few months old, but it’s interesting to try it after the effects of the hops have mostly faded. Lots of lactic character, fruitiness and a light pepper, with wheat/biscuit-like malts behind it, rather sparse and adding little/no "sweetness" to the nose. So probably a bit on the very dry side, though the juiciness still here from the hops helps mitigate that somewhat (and very dry isn’t really a problem to begin with). No alcohol/flaw.
More to it in the mouth than I would have guessed from the nose. I was honestly expecting an extremely attenuated, rather thin, bone dry sour ale, sort of like a berliner weisse, but rather, it’s got some meat to the body. Perhaps some dextrines, perhaps the wheat adding texture, not sure exactly. Regardless, it provides a good backbone for the tart, lactic, and juicy stone fruit notes to play about on. Lots of earthiness, especially the De Proef signature, with heavy, borderline metallic, minerality. Juicy fruit notes lingering, with lactic acid and minimal brett. Fairly engaging, low carbonation and no alcohol or flaw. Definitely more of a De Proef beer, unsurprisingly given its brewed there, but there’s a good juiciness from the obvious Trillium-directed hopping. It works, I think, and actually comes out better than any of Trilliums other saisons, to-date (which isn’t saying a whole lot).

330ml bottle pours out golden topped with a fluffy white head. Nose is great big floral tropical fruit hops piled on top of crisp saison lemon citrus yeast. Taste is more of the nice hops they add a great layer nice light tartness and a lemon zest yeast. This is a great beer.

Bottle from Boise Co-op. Hazy orange golden pour with soft bubbly head. Aroma is yeasty, doughy, funky. Taste brings in some Orang-y citrus notes, and finishes with some zesty stand. Kind of juicy, but flows nice over the tongue.
