Drake’s Black Robusto Porter is a deep, dark “Robust Porter,” a beer style known for being darker, fuller-bodied, and higher in alcohol by volume than a standard Brown Porter. Our Black Robusto goes down smoothly with flavors of bittersweet chocolate an slight roast from Crystal and Chocolate malt. A touch of spicy, herbal hop character from Willamette hops balance out the finish. Enjoy a pint with dark, lingering satisfaction.

Bottle @ DTE tasting shared with Deanso, kermis, sic1314, JulianHuxley and jmgreenuk. Pitch black color, average sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roasty, nicely bitter but not too much. Not my best rating but I got distracted a bit and liked it too much so drank it a bit too quickly. Nice one!

Bottle at the DTE tasting, Den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany with round light tan head. The aroma is earthy mineral roasted malt. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with a smooth creamy chocolate coffee light spicy hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at the DTE tasting thanks to Benzai. Pours near black with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, toffee, a little dark fruitiness. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Good for the ABV.

This brew pours an opaque brown-black color with a medium khaki head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of sweet malt, espresso and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap. Pours opaque black with a medium brown head and great lacing. Aroma is dominated by coffee and tobacco, with some burned notes from the roasted malts. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet, light coffee bitter, with burned notes apparent. Medium body.

Bottle. Black pour with foamy off white head. Aroma is chocolate malt and espresso. Full bodied, Malty with a bit of spice. Flavour is bittersweet chocolate, and robust malt. Lasting malt finish. Not overly sweet.
