Bottle from Cigarette City, Seabrook. Orange / Amber type color, thin lasting head in a chalice. Aroma has pine, tropical fruits and sweet caramel malt.

Flavor shows a ton of fruits, orange, tangerine with a caramel malt base. Solid amount of lingering pine finish. The body has a significant amount of caramel malt that gives it a slightly more sweetness then is warranted. I like the large pine hop profile that becomes dry. As it warms the bitterness gets harsh. The weighted average of this is about right. Good, not great.

Pours deep gold into a snifter. White head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel and pine aromas. Sweet caramel and bitter earth upfront turning to mango and resin in the lasting hot bitter caramel and resin finish.

On tap in 83 Degrees, Carlsbad on 27th May 2015. Golden Amber pour with a full head on my US pint. Malty feel to the nose and flavour with plenty of hop action in the background. Semi sweet throughout with a mild piny and citrus injection from the hops. My sweet tooth liked it.

Bottle: Poured a copper clear with an off white colored head. Aroma is piney citrus hops. Taste is a rugged dirty hops, earthiness, and sweet malt finish.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/9/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, honey, caramel, light toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, caramel, light toast, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange zest, pine, honey, caramel, light toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Melville Superstar Beverage, 11/30/14

Aroma: The nose is sweet caramel malts with some citrus and a little bit of pine as well
Appearance: It pours a clear darker orange color with a clean off-white head and plenty of sticky lacing
Flavor: The flavor is lightly sweet, with a medium hop bitterness that leads to later, more bitter close
Palate: The body is medium, it has a little stickiness, a bit of heat, and a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: This one wasn't a favorite for me in the style or overall. It just feels a little flawed and lacking overall. It isn't a terrible beer, but in a crowded style like this, it just isn't as good as it's competition.

From bomber to pint glass. Resin and pine dominate the aroma, with cracker malt in support. Pours a clear red with billowing off-white head of large, fluffy bubbles. Slight webbing. Taste is dank, earth, pine. Slight citrus in the middle. Pine finish. Moderate high bittering. Finishes moderately dry.
