A copper coloured, full-bodied organic best bitter made with organically grown malted barley, and organic hops to give the distinctive fully hopped character. This Best Bitter has a sweet biscuit aroma and pleasing citrus hop flavours from the Sovereign, and First Gold hops. Soil Association accredited, organically grown Chariot malted barley is used to make the mash for this beer.

0.5l bottle. This is a crystal clear dark wood golden one with a small bubbly and quite lacing off-white top. Smalls nice with a good amount of chocolate. It's light fruit hoppy as and quite malty as well. Think this is my kind of bitter. A nice sweet aroma. Well, it's not that bad tasting either. A bit thin on the mouthfeel and the carbonation is below average. A good sweetness here, lots if dark caramel that's well balanced with plenty of bittering hops. I liked this one. One of the better I've had from the brewer. 18.05.2013

500 ml bottle sampled in 2009. Practically clear golden body with a small off-white head. Light aroma of caramel malt with a hint of fruity hops. Flavor is light malty, some caramel, hint of fruit and actually more bitter than expected from aroma. Medium body and nice aftertaste. Still a pretty average bitter.

Bottle at Fiddler. Pours clear amber with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, earthy, light spice, toffee, butter. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Clouded golden brown ale with a fine medium bodied texture, feels light and pleasantly smooth on its way down the palate. Has a grainy malty aroma but little flavour.

Aromatic taste of malty caramel and lemony earthy hop and yeast. It’s smooth, settled medium body with moderate carbonation. It’s really heavy bitter.

500ml bottle. Pours caramel with a medium head. Aroma is banana and boiled sweet malts. Taste has dark fruits with a slightly skunky bitter finish.

There are so many beers like this from English (or perhaps British?) brewers and I always smell and taste the same. I don’t dislike it or anything, but it’s always decent. Always safe sort of speak, which ultimately makes these beers boring to me. It’s a decent beer, I like the bitterness, but one is enough for me.

bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaard clear brown small light brown head. bitter fruit peely aroma.slightly herbal. quite bitter bitter. flavor is nutty, herbal, caramelly, bitter. faint fruit peely bitter. This one is a bit weird to me. can’t put words on it. half btter, half HOF?. okay, not really. but something is strange.

Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly lasting head. Moderate hoppy and light malty aroma. Grassy notes.Light bitter slightly harsh flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.
