Pale Moon is a drinkable pale ale that has a distinctive hop aroma without the lingering aftertaste. This Belgian-Style Pale Ale is brewed with European malts, Cascade hops, and a touch of hibiscus and orange peel. These ingredients create a rich copper colored ale with a flavor complexity that one would expect from the Blue Moon Brewing Company.

Fairly terrible Coors product, but at least it’s better than Full Moon. The nose isn’t too bad, more nigh-nonexistent save for a little soap. Looks drinkable, too. Then the Blue Moon heritage rears its ugly head and gives you a beer that hints at real flavor but delivers watery dreck. (12/08)

Pours clear amber with cream colored head. Grainy aroma with some doughy yeast. Toasted grainy malt flavor. Light to medium body with average carbonation.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear orange copper with a small frothy white head that leaves decent lacing. The aroma is a bready malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a light malt with cereal and a bready finish. Not too much going on with this belgian from Coors.

Pours gold into a snifter. Off-white head quickly recedes to hug rim. Yeast and caramel aromas. Dry and sweet with upfront caramel turning yeasty in the lasting slight saaz finish.

Very clear coloured orange body with a thin white head. Nice glow of ruby and copper in the appearance. Aroma of metal, raisins, yeast and some light fruits. Medium-bodied; Chunky yeast flavour at first, then showing light fruits and a touch of metal - not too much. Aftertaste is strong and relatively bitter, showing only some metal, alcohol and a touch of pit fruits. Overall, not very reminiscent of a belgian pale to me, but shows some okay flavours, then a lot of musty and bitter tastes too. Okay to try, but not really recommended and definitely not for the style! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased earlier today at Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York sampled later in the day on 04-September-2010 at my in-laws in New Paltz, New York.

An amber color with a soapy white head. The aroma contains caramel. The flavor is somewhat sweet with some citrus, caramel, and a some kind of bread flavor going on. Biggest complaint here is the thin palate but overall not bad for Blue Moon.

Bottle thanks to cavie. Pours with a fading white head over a clear copper body. Aroma of honey, caramel, paper and light hops. Taste is honey, dry and papery. Fizzy and thin.

Pour is a tan with a large white head. Aroma is some slight hops and some caramel. Flavor is a little fruit, spice and again a slight hop comes out. Light but flavorful

Overall Impression: This one is basically the definition of OK...nothing too exciting, but enjoyable, drinkable...

12oz bottle. Filtered amber-orange color. Overly sweet one dimensional aroma, not pleasant. Medium bodied with a decidely sweet yeasty fruitiness. A Belgian Pale Ale? No way, lacks any crispness. More like a Singel if anything. Shows some spice as it warms. Surprisingly not bad for a Blue Moon product, but embarrassingly bad for something claiming to be Belgian.
