Draught at Braukunst Live München 2015, sampled on two different days.
Brown, hazy body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head.
Aroma of bourbon, some coconut, some vanilla, nuts, dried fruits, some booze.
Taste follows this, with some more cappuccino like smooth coffee and some chocolate.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter-sweet, a bit dry, with toffee, bourbon, alcohol and quite long-lasting barrel notes.

Tasty! Really smooth for this style, well balanced and beautifully showcasing the barrel aging, without getting too boozy. Pleasant.

Bottle @ home, via the rot box, thanks to jcnielsen for sending a while back. Pours a hazy, dark orangish brown appearance with a brown head. Spicy oak, vanilla, heavy coconut, caramel, and spices in the nose. Barrel forward flavor. A bit heavy on the booze. High sweetness and moderate sweetness. Lots of coconut and brown sugar in the flavor. Finishes a little boozy. Solid, chill beer.

Bottle shared with me by Savnac: Poured a brown with orange hints, the head was tan. Aroma was strong alcohol with vanilla and caramel. Taste was similar with sticky caramel, strong alcohol and notes of vanilla. Finish was lively spice and sticky.

Bottle at RBWG 2013 Grand Tasting. Pours clear amber with a fine, filmy tan head. Lots of sugary malts, heavy malts, alcohol. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish, toffee, some honey, caramel, golden raisins. Not bad. Rich beer.

500ml bottle shared by beastiefan2k. The pour is a really hazed brown orange with a light tan head. The aroma is big wood barrel and booze initially, as that cleared some, a full caramel maltiness comes to the forefront. The taste is the big bold caramel malt integrated nicely with the wood barrel and alcohol. Fairly simple flavors, though really well put together. The palate is heavy to medium bodied, with lower carbonation, and a pleasant warmness to the finish. Nice one Eugene - I mostly think of UCBC as experts at the subtle, nuanced Lagers, but evidently they can brew anything.

Acquired in a trade. Enjoyed at fridge temp in a tulip.

A - Pours a murky raisin brown with a 1 finger brown head that fades slowly.

S - I get dark fruits, plums, raisins and figs. Lots of cane syrup / molasses. Hint of rye and bourbon.

T - Impressive! VERY sweet and fruity up front like prune juice. The middle is this intense flavor of vanilla and sweet fruits like apples and mango. The finish is charred oak, vanilla and bourbon. Boozy sweet lingering taste that lasts a while.

M - Heavy body, mild carbonation. Chest burn from the alcohol.

O - This beer is pretty incredible. An excellent balance throughout. It’s certainly a sipper. Very enjoyable!!!! Looking forward to letting it warm up a bit.
