Gebraut mit dem seltenen Nelson Sauvin-Hopfen aus Neuseeland erinnert dieses in der Flasche vergorene Weissbier an einen ausdrucksstarken Sauvignon Blanc. In der Nase ist es exotisch blumig, bringt dann einen malzigen Körper, leicht säuerliche Fruchtigkeit und einen leichten, trockenen Abgang. Eine faszinierende Kombination aus Frische, Fruchtigkeit und Eleganz!

Bottle from Geers. 2017 edition. Pours hazy orange with a slowly diminishing, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of dried orange & banana, apple peel, ripe gooseberry, old hops, white wine, caramel, brioche, pear, fig, slightly oxidized. Taste is a sweet estery profile of orange, banana & apple combined with sourish accents of citrus zest, gooseberry & wheat, oxidized impression in the back; bitter spices & white grapes in the middle, all the while supported by brioche-like maltiness & an early woody sign. Dryish, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, hint of dried fruits, dried banana, wheat, wood & warming white wine-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Extremely elegant Wheat Ale with balanced wine & typically German elements, the perfect 'dinner' beer. Silent masterpiece for me.

Version de 2017... La bière dégage un très agréable parfum de raison et de céréales. L'effervescence est très faible, mais le produit a une très belle rondeur en bouche. Excellent produit qui diffère grandement de ce à quoi je suis habitué venant de ce coin du monde.

Bottle, 0.375l. Hazy orange/brown pour, two finger frothy off-white head. Long lasting, excellent retention, thick lacing on the glass as it goes down. Caramel on the nose, a bit sweet, wheat notes, mild spiciness in the background. Medium body, soft but lively carbonation. Light texture and mouthfeel. Sweet taste with subtle herbal spiciness in the background. Aroma of caramel malt, wheat, coriander. Subtle fruity touches, notes of peach and banana. Mild bready. Lingering herbal spiciness, subtle alcohol burn. Long lasting finish. Good, but I expected a bit more, price considered.

750ml bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with a large, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of wheat malt, caramel, yeast, green grape, orange rind, clove and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, caramel, banana, orange flesh, bubble gum, yeast, apple, pear, green grape, honey, clove and light alcohol in a dry finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Delicious, I really enjoyed this beer.

750 ml 2017 bottle. Dark cloudy amber, foamy head. Grapefruit, orange peel, banana, citrus, tart even brett notes. Dry fruity bitterness, yeasty sweetness. Full bodied, oily creamy texture, lively carbonated, dry finish. Good!

Heller Weizenbock mit 7,3 % Alk, 16,8 % Stammwürze. Unpraktische 0,75 l Sektflasche. Sehr starke Schaumentwicklung. Der Geruch ist auch sektartig mit säuerlichen Balsamikonoten. Das Thema Sekt schlägt sich auch beim Trinken durch. Sehr, sehr viel Kohlensäure, die alles etwas überdeckt (auch der hohe Alkoholgehalt bleibt komplett verschleiert). Was aber auffällt sind Noten von Grapefruit und Mandarine. Hat was. Man sollte das einfach mal kommentarlos seinen Gästen in Sektgläsern servieren und kucken was passiert. Erwähnenswert: Ein Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum von unglaublichen 5 Jahren!!!

Tap @ Café Morshuis Albergen. Blonde, cloudy. Grass, melon and pineapple in both aroma and flavor. well hopped. Just a hint of yoghurt. Grassy herbal yeasty aftertaste. Good beer!

375mml. bottle as part of the «European Local Swap». @home. 19/07/2019. 2017 batch. Light orange colour with a medium white head. Aroma is wheat, soft banana and oak barrels. Taste is banana, oak, nuts and grains. A good weizenbock but maybe too old for the hops. Next one please!
