Bottle. Hazy chestnut brown, fine beige head. Perfect rerention. The aroma is as classic as it only could be. Nice spicy yeast, esters, caramel, toffee, banana. Full body. The taste is delicious and complex. Medium dry. Rich dark malts. Finest Belgian yeast. Prune. Notable hops and subtle roast on ending. Excellent balance. No alco feel. Great effort this one.

First tasted at Bruges Beer Fest 2017. 8/4/7/4/15=3.8.
Rerate, bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker. Pours hazy black with a huge, lasting, frothy, beige head; lots of lacing. Intense aroma of coffee liqueur, marzipan, milk chocolate, mocha, candied prune, cinnamon & cookie. Medium malty sweet onset with hints of caramel, prune & chocolate; sourish raisin in the back of a light roasted bitter middle, hint of coffee & a tad spicy. Dryish, peppery hoppy finish, lingering prune, fondant, coffee roast, warming dash of whisky alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. Great Stout-like Belgian Strong Ale.

Thick creamy light brown head stayed well on a very dark brown, slightly effervescent body. Huge aroma - malt, dark chocolate, dark fruit, coffee & spirit. Smooth to the fore, thick & creamy on the tongue with a nice tickle on the back. Sweet on the front with raisins, brown sugar, malt & caramel followed by a bitter, tangy back of dried fruit, coffee & hints of citrus.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear red-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has some well toasted bread, ripe berries, earth. Medium sweet flavour with more ripe, leathery berries, raisins, earth, toast. medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with minimal warmth, toasty bread, more ripe berries, nips of oxidation. Enjoyable.
