330 ml. split by 4 @ “Sir Goatie McGoat S&G Tasting”. Thank you Mathieu87 and/or PriorL! Bottled 01.03.16. Hazy orange with little white head. Nose is big orange hop, peach, clean, fresh, hoppy, nice. Taste carries a tad much yeast, peach, oily, lightly neutral, grapefruit, tropical. Lightly yeasty body. Nice, easy going, straightforward, satisfying exercise.

Tap. Shakespeares, Sheffield. As Kernel Pale Ale Cascade Simcoe. 5.2%. Hazy, dark yellow. Kernel swede. Nose has the malts upfront, unusually. A bit pale and pilsener-ish. Some vanilla, too. (Is this the right keg for the tap?). Hops kick in with some pineapple and peach stone. Bit of Simcoe grass. Taste is crisp bitter, and light dry. Crisp mouthfeel. Light bitter finish. The most un-Kernel like Kernel pale ale I’ve had, in a pub that serves their beer right all the time. Maybe I’m hormonal...

Bottle from Birratrovo, Como; bottled 03.11.12, bb 03.03.13
Amber color, clean, with medium sized compact head. Nice aroma, fruity hops, the lovely fruity resins from the Simcoe with a more earthy touch from the Cascade. Dry mouthfeel, with dry toffee flavor, light caramel, but also some cereals and paper; nice bitterness level, with good fruity presence and soft resins.
Pleasant and easily drinkable, good hop showcase. It could be more stylish with more crispness and less paper.
