Aroma: Bright, tropical fruit aroma.
Appearance: Slightly hazy orange body. Very small white head, no carbonation. Light lacing marks.
Taste: Freshly cut oranges with a hint of lime. Light and very tasty. Not as complex as other Kernel IPAs, but very drinkable.
Palate: Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation.
Overall: Kernel are the masters of the IPA. This isn’t their best, bit it’s still delicious.

Hazy orange amber beer, good white head. Palate is light and semi dry and a little crisp. Mild minerals. Mild creamy malt. A little pithy orange and tangerine. Touch of floralness. Whisper of skunk, lemon and grapefruit. Finishes neutral with mild bitter linger. A nice Pale Ale - perhaps slightly muted by Kernel standards. 3.7.

This has developed a little - slightly more forward in it’s fruits and better integrated. Snow cooled and very refreshing!

Draft at the Craft Beer Company, Clerkenwell. Poured a slightly cloudy light amber with a thin glass hugging head. The aroma is hugely orange, citrus with a similar flavour. It’s a little like drinking an orange juice. The palate is medium bitter which lingers into the aftertaste for a very refreshing ale.

Bottle at home in London. Pours cloudy orange with a soft, cascading white foam head. Lots of sweet, juicy, ripe tangerine in the nose, some suggestions of honey, canteloupe and grapefruit. Light to medium sweet flavor with plenty of fresh citrus, mango, light grass. Medium bodied with soft, fine carbonation; the carbonation is definitely lighter than most Kernel APAs. Very clean finish with further tangerine, light grass and pine, supporting pale malts. Great start to this one, but it doesn’t follow through the the punch I was expecting.

Bottle at the Kernel. It pours hazy golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is orange, apricot yoghurt, tangerine, hay, farmyard and light herbal notes. The taste is soft tangerine, clementine, nice bitterness, straw, pithy citrus and grapefruit with a dry, somewhat citric finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty straightforward by Kernel standards but mighty drinkable.

(keg@Catford Bridge Tavern) Pours a hazy orange/amber with thin white diminishing head and light lacing. Aroma of fruity citrus hops, straw, malt. Taste is intense sweet citrus orange/mandarin, pine and mineral malt, a good balance of both sweet and bitter notes on the palate. Very refreshing - lovely! (D15)
