Tap at Drygate. Smells like sweets, irn bru, tutti fruities. Tastes the same. Very sweet, quite thin. Little bit of a sugar sparkle and sweet berry juice, but how is this a saison? --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) BrewDog Cardiff Home of the Fruitcakes on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Leeds Beer Festival 2015. Hazy amber-orange coloured. Has a high sweet fruitiness in both aroma and taste. Feels Belgian in style.

Keg @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours pink with foamy white head. Vibrant red berry aroma. Taste is a little lighter on the berry front, although it’s certainly fruity and a touch fuzzy. A hint of plastic on the finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 18/3/2015. Deep, reddish-amber and a decent, off-white, head. Aroma of tart berry fruits, citrus hops and a touch of cereal malts. Flavour had some tart raspberry, a hint of strawberry sweetness and a touch of hop in the finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Pours hazy pale amber, nose is toffee, sweet fruit, taste is dry, crisp, sticky fruit, rhubarb, esters, light sourness, maybe some irn bru?

On cask @ the Stockbridge Tap as part of the Celt Experience Tap Takeover. Appearance - a beautiful, red-brown somewhere between auburn and strawberry syrup. Quite like lava in fact! Some head too. Nose - stewed berries and light sweet spice. Getting into minced pie territory here. Taste - mince pies confirmed, though a little fresher fruit than dried. Palate - medium bodied with a big tangy texture and there’s a sweet finish, though the spice and hop in there have come together in a balanced way. Overall - the beer of the night. Great to combine these sweet fruits with the spicy saison yeast. Well done, Reece! And lovely to meet you!

Lyric. Keg. Hazy orange amber beer, good peach colour head. Palate is airy, very fine carbonation. Light candy fruit - floral sweetness balanced by mildly tart berry fruits. Little seltzer. Light finish. Reminded me of those sour sweets that are all the rage now, but more mellow.
