Tap@Pelt Trader, London - black pour with thin white head. Dark malty aroma and taste, some dark berry fruits, bretty, earthy and medicinal herbal nuances going on. Weird, as not very "sour" , at first wasnโ€™t keen, but this really grew on me. Pretty unique/interesting brew.

On tap @ Borefts 2014. This is a deep and dark brown looking one. A nice little sidesticking and islandy head on the top. On the nose I get a mild woody dark malty aroma. It's quite mild actually. A mild tartness, some soft lingon berries and not much more really. Mmm.. Taste though. Lots of burnt sugar sweetness here. It has a mild oily feeling in the mouth and it's gentle on the carbonation. Some dark malts here also, it's mildly roasted and really easy to like. Some cocoa dryness in the finish. Yeah, it didn't really smell all that much, but it has lots of nice subtle flavors that I really like. 27.09.2014

Bottle at Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with a creamy light tan head, dark fruit and funk aroma, taste has roast malt along with some tart dark fruit, plain chocolate, some sourness a hint of brett, some fucker had put the cork in upside down, had to wrestle it to get it out and it ended up a gusher.

Euston Tap. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, thin pale cream tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Good fine carbonation, Smooth dark malts, airy and bringing a little sweet cream. Definite brett note, slightly savoury. Hops are mildly floral citric. Airy finish with a small nip from the very fine carbonation. Nice job, light on it toes and reasonably well hopped. One of the better brett stouts Iโ€™ve had.

Keg at The Hanging Bat. 8%. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice, sour notes, lactic yoghurty goodness. Taste is tart, more berries and a backnote of sugar sweetness. Really nice.

Keg at Euston Tap. It pours jet black with a decent beige head. The nose is earthy, funky, big brett action, candied orange, lactic, creamy, barnyard, light manure, red wine, red grape skin, must and wood. The taste is rich, earthy, Brett, must, wet wood, damp leaf, lactic, vinous notes, berry, roasted malts, jammy fruits, charcoal, dirt, light blue cheese aspect and alcohol with a lingering earthy finish. Med+ body and fine carbonation. Great depth of flavour to it. The blue cheese thing puts me off a touch, but I canโ€™t deny this is an interesting and well-made beverage. Burning Sky are fast becoming one of my favourite English breweries.
