Draught @ Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Aroma has licorice and berry juice. Flavour has licorice, tartish berry juice and some minerals. Like a mixture of black ipa and oud bruin. Somewhat pleasant.

75cl bottle @ the 11th Shrewsbury Bottle Share, Feb 15. Pours a deep dark brown, almost black with minimal off-white had. Taste seems a bit muddled, lacking clarity and definition. Sour aspects appear dulled. Not sure it should’ve ended up like this. Disappointing.

0.75 litre bottle shared on 17th Feb 2015. Bottled on 29 Aug 2014, BBD 29 Aug 2020. Sour with a vinegar feel, not for me, I am no brett fan. Deep, dark brown body with a thin off-white head. A sour puss of a beer with a herbal twist and although everyone else (the other four) liked it I stood my ground and said what it really tasted like.

Bouteille 75cl, BB 29/08/2026, bottled 29/08/2014.

750ml bottle shared @La Tana (thanks Gianluca!). Dark Brown with a medium off-white head. Nose is vinous, roasted malts, earthy, some sourness, red fruits, lacto. Flavour is medium sweet then a bit sourish, well balanced and refined, nice! Medium body, low carbonation. A very good and original beer.

Keg at Borefts beer festival day 1 26/09/2014. Opaque dark caramel coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is sour milk, tart fruit, apricot, sour. Flavour is composed of cinammon, weed, plastic phenol, woody funk and dry rot. Palate is semi sweet, highish carbonation, some woody tannin. Bit of a weird beer.

On tap at the Pelt Trader, Cannon Street. Dark brown pour with a slowly departing whisper of a white head. Aromas of licorice and blackcurrant. Quite a medicinal flavour with blackcurrant, aniseed and licorice featuring heavily. Intriguing brew.
