Named after the most famous export of the Slavic states, we've taken a very little known style, amped it up and kegged it for your drinking pleasure.

Kvass is traditionally made with Rye Bread as a way to use leftovers at home, fermenting on the windowsill, typically resulting in a low ABV, nutritional fermented beverage, and with herbs and fruit added for flavour.

But we've thrown that out the window it normally ferments next to and amplified it up to 4.7%. A small amount of strawberry, lemon and mint to contrast with the spicy notes from a huge amount of rye that makes this beer what it is.

Draught. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Strong strawberry notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Straberry still nicely present. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. I normally dont like strawberry beers but this is deasent. But a kvass? I dont think so.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus, 4.7%. Hazy golden with medium off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, spices, mint and candy. Flavour is malt, sweet, fruit, candy, herbs, wheat, mint and a little bitter.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, light malt, sugar, candy, sweet fruit, sweet apricot. Flavor is very sweet, loads of sugar, rye, candy, cheewing gum, sweet fruit, canned apricot. Medium body, average carbonation, sweet finish. 210717

From tap. Pours hazy yellow, white head. Aroma is herbal and fruity to slight citrusy. Perfumed and spiced. Peachy and light candy like. Mild herbal and floral fruity finish. Strange and not really enjoyable.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - golden pour with white head. Fruity and malty with some prominent strawberry notes, berry fruit, light malty, medium sweet fruity into the close.

[ As Tiny Rebel AK47 ].Unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, pale malt, strawberry, lemon, sweet strawberries. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet strawberries - lemon, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20161012] 7-3-8-3-15

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of strawberries, lemons, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of strawberries, rye, hay, hops, and malt, leading to a dry bready finish.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Hazy amber with a thin head. Has sweet tropical fruit notes including pineapple in both aroma and taste, although less sweet in the latter aspect.

Keg at 6 degrees north, Edinburgh. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of fruit salad sweets, faint white bread. Taste is more sweets, tropical fruit. Tangy finish. Good.
