We enjoy brewing Imperial Fruited Stouts and this beer is no exception. Raspberry Crash is a chewy Imperial Stout which we re-fermented on raspberries before infusing it with vanilla and cacao nibs. Raspberry Crash is best served just below room temperature to enjoy the full flavour of chocolate and ripe raspberries.

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is full, chocolate, raspberry escence , fairly loud. Taste is fairly sharp, mild tartness trough the fruits, outbalancing the sweetness. Mild chocolate. Not as roasty or creamy as I had hoped. Raspberry is a bit to much in my opinion.

Can, 10.0%. Distinct raspberry and marshmallow aroma. Almost black colour. Seems clear. Fizzy light brown head. The flavour starts off roasted with a distinct raspberry note. Later comes a little sweetness and tartness along with a powdered cocoa note. Does not taste 10 percent at all, and I wonder if it could not or should not have been made with much less alcohol.

Can. Pours cloudy dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of berries and cake, with notes of yeast and touches of malt and caramel. Dry, tart flavour of berries with notes of roast, cocoa and hops and touches of cake and malt, and hints of yeast. Berrylike and roasty aftertaste with clear notes of cocoa powder. Well-hidden ABV. A very nice, if atypical pastry Imperial Stout, without aggressive sweetness.

Draught @ Gastropub Nordic Aroma has sweet cocoa and coffee. Flavour has tart raspberry, some cocoa lurking behind. Finishes with floury cocoa and coffee. Could be better with less raspberries.

Rusty cream head over jet-black beer. Black chocolate, milk chocolate, raspberry jam, pink filling for Cadbury's; sweet roast, glazing for cured meat, ketjap. Roast, sweetness, rather artificial raspberry, if alleviated - saved, maybe - by a fresh acidity, fruity if not long-lasting. Vanilla, however remains hanging around. Black chocolate with raspberry ganache. Better than the nose, in any case. Warming up, more raspberry flavour. Full bodied despite some acidthinning. Slick to viscous; good, if invisible carbonation. My guess is that it is the vanilla that makes it so... Beauty Shop-like condiment. Next time without the vanilla?

Strong raspberry on the nose. Sour, strong raspberry, a bit candyish. Some chocolate and creaminess in the background. Like 50/50 chocolate stout and a sour kriek. Not entirely convinced, but ok.

Solid black color with a fine frothy beige head that leaves a nice lacing down the sides of the glass. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a smooth nice carbonation level that makes it very easy to drink. Pleasant sweetness and a bit oily texture. Dark malt, raspberries, coffee, some roast, mild vanilla and some chocolate. Ok complexity. Fine evening sipper [On tap at Henry & Sally's (Mikkeller) in Oslo, Norway]

Can from Wander Beyond Online. Deep mahogany to black colour with a tan head. Aroma is malty toffee and fruity taste tart raspberry and slight roasted bitter. Full on smooth body.

Fruited stouts are a weird thing, I can never really get used to them (unless banana!), always seem a bit off balance. Same here. Nicely chocolatey, good deal of raspberry and a hint of vanilla, medium thickness. Flavours are weird, but result is tasty.
