Soaring through the air with grace and fury, the Luchador descends. The multi-limbed warrior carries an elegance in the efficient manner with which he dispatches his foes. Plenty of action, style, and glory await you in this Mexican-Style Chocolate Stout. Sweet flavors blossom from additions of vanilla and cinnamon, while a spicy body gets it’s kick from ancho chile powder. Dark malt flavors provide a robust palette upon which one may don the Chocolate Sombrero.

Better than the unidragon and almost as good as the undead. Creamy consistency. Good balance. Roast, coffee and dark chocolate in equal proportions. Lots of flavor here. Tap at Churchkey.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of sweet chocolate, piney hops, and spice. Flavors of chocolate, creamy coffee, light vanilla, and some hard to place spices. A little heat from the peppers but not distracting. I think this one has aged a bit... Great stuff.

Bottle, 10C. Very dark brown with a coat of tan head. Aroma of chocolate milk on the turn, molasses, cinnamon, pickled chiles. Bit of a harsh jerrycan whiff to it - which does dissipate. Lowish carbonation, oily. Not all that sweet ’tho it creeps up, plenty of chocolate and vanilla, nice cinnamon. Surprisingly after the aroma the chile is barely there until a little pluminess and heat right at the end. A bit dull.

(Bottle sample at tasting, VilleValla Pub, LInköping, Jan 26 2015) Pours very dark brown with a moderate tan head. Nose has chocolate, smoky chili, slightly sour cacao tones, sweet dark malt underneath, maybe a bit of cinnamon comes through. Palate has chocolate and a surprising acidity, more caramel, dark berries, spicy cinnamon and smoke, chili coming in towards the finish, roast, dark unsweetened chocolate. I am not totally sure where the acidity comes from? Fairly light bodied for style with moderate carb. Other than being a little lighter than I like an imperial stout to be, this was really good - flavours are super.
