El 8 de septiembre de 1928, día de la virgen de la Victoria, el fundador de Cervezas Victoria inauguró su fábrica en Málaga. Diez años después, durante un viaje a Alemania, creó un personaje; el típico turista alemán, situado en un entorno malagueño. Entonces no imaginó que tanto el personaje como su cerveza llegarían a convertirse en los símbolos más representativos de Málaga, de lo exquisito de sus costumbres y de su gracia.
CERVEZA VICTORIA se elabora mediante el procedimiento tradicional de maduración lenta con un mínimo de 2 semanas de guarda que asegura la elevada calidad del producto. Es dorada y brillante, con burbujas finas y abundantes. Suave, con densas notas de cereales tostados y eminentemente fresca.

330 ml can, as Victoria Malaga, from Diana Supermercado, Estepona. ABV is 4.8%. Golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma, malts and grass. Medium dry flavour, sharpish herbal hops in the finish.

Can 33cl. from a Lidl supermaket, Motril, @ Villa Atalanta poured into a shaker. Clear deep golden, good moussy white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, grain, corn, light caramel, very light lemon, hay. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, some lemon peel. Light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, mild sweetbitter aftertaste, bit more bitterness, malty notes, bit sugar, refreshing, nice.

(Bottle) Golden colour with brief, foamy, off-white head. Malty nose with notes of white bread, orange, corn and jasmine rice. Malty taste with bread, orange peel, jasmine rice, slightly buttery malt and a low bitterness. Light body, mainly dry. Hardly exciting, but clean and laid back. Quiet enjoyable.

Keg on the rooftop bar at Hotel H10 Chroma, Malaga, 25/09/23. Clear golden with a good sized white cap. Nose is corn husk, cereals, grains, pacemakers, herb. Taste comprises toasted grains, hedgerow, pale malts, straw, cereals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay piss in the hot weather.

Bottled 330ml. -from local Konzum. Clear golden coloured, medium sized white head, grainy corny nose. Grainy, corny, notes of caramel and sugar with notes of rice. Sweetish watery finish.

660ml bottle form Asda. Bright gold in colour, with a thin, white, head and moderate carbonation. Light aroma of hay, crisp malts and flinty minerals. Flavour had some brief lemon sharpness upfront, ripe lager malts, leading to a lingering, bitter, finish with a floral edge. A decent lager, well worth bringing back from holiday.

660ml bottle from Lidl. Pours clear golden with a thick throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, bread, honey and lemon. Taste has grains, hay, mild grass, doughy bread, honey and a faint medicinal note on the finish. Medium body, fairly low carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Decent enough lager.
