Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Aroma is very chocolate forward with moderate coffee notes. Light vanilla notes. Fudge notes with some light oxidized coffee notes. Light alcohol spice. Pours black with a small, thin mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges where a small amount lingers. No lacing and moderately long legs. Flavor is rather sweet with quite a bit of chocolate and fudge. Some light vanilla with moderate coffee notes. Coffee is fairly fruity with a light acidity. Medium low bitterness. Light alcohol spice. Lots of chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and a bit oily with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer. The coffee and vanilla notes are really nice, but the coffee is a bit too acidic and oxidized with a light meaty roast note to it. The coffee is definitely holding the beer back.
