330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.9%. Pitch black colour, large tan head. Nice aroma of aquavit spices and Fernet spices, also roast malts, liquorice and oak. The flavour is fairly sweet, with distinct notes of liquorice and said spices. Moderate hops.

Bottle. Aaah, Novare Res, I'd really like to go back, we had a blast there, with lots of good beers. But anyway, Fernet Force pours an unclear, dark brown body under a small dark beige head. Some curtains. The aroma has a light soapy touch, spices, toffee, bread and some dark dried fruit. It's full-bodied, warming and soft on the palate, with a quite herbal flavor. Roasted malts, toffee, bread and some bread crust too. Lasting finish. A bit on the herbal side this one, but sure nice anyway. And the alcohol is barely detectable. 200619

Bottle. A- Aquavit, mild smoke, char, mild anise. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Smoke, roast, oak, cardamom, slightly tangy, anise, tobacco. P- Full body, slightly thin texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Of course, I proclaim to taste and smell aquavit having absolutely no actual idea what that tastes like, as I've done with other aquavit beers. Either way, I taste something and it's unique. Liked the aroma a lot. Taste was a bit thin bodied and not quite as balanced but still pretty good.

My goodness this one was powerful and complex. I tried it when it was quite fresh and the fernet flavor was a bit over powdering. Also some roast, chocolate, cocoa, barrel and dark malt. Solid complexity. Looks good. Black off course, but a fine tan head that leaves a fine lacing down the sides of the glass. Fine carbonation level also. Solid evening sipper.
