A massive Imperial IPA that will leave your palate its hapless victim. Dry and stupendously hopped, Arctic Panzer Wolf is brewed with Canadian 2-row malt, dextrose sugar, and lots of American hops, giving it superior aromas of marmalade, white peach, pine, and apricot to balance the intense hop bitterness. Scorched earth is our brewery policy.

Tap at GABF 2013. Poured a murky light amber with a thin frothy white head. The aroma is rich yeast citrus fruit and resin. The flavour is strong bitter with a big liqourice malt resin boozy palate. Surprisingly smooth for the ABV.

(Draught at Mikkeller & Friends, Copenhagen, 13 July 2013) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, orange, caramel and grapefruit. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, a touch of resin, plenty of malt and a solid citric/resinous bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, with an impressive hop presence. Very nice.

22 ounce bottle into signature teku glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy golden amber color with a nice 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Moderate soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big orange zest, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, pineapple, peach, mango, floral, grass, light pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops with a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine, lemon zest, pineapple, peach, mango, floral, grass, honey, light pine, and floral earthiness. Slight floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, peach, mango, floral, grass, light pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hop flavors; with a great bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly slick and sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA as expected. Big hop flavor complexity and balance with moderate malts; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.

Draught at Mikkeller & Friends. Hazy amber liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus, mango, tangerine, pine, biscuit, floral hops and grass. Taste is dry to light sweet and medium to high bitter with notes of citrus, mango and tangerine. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Really nice, wouldn’t expect anything else from a FFF DIPA.

~10 oz Rodenbach glass pour at Sergio’s in Louisville, Kentucky. The pour is a slightly hazed orange golden with a smallish white head that leaves behind pretty lacing. The aroma is a nice blend of citrus (lime) hops and cracker malt. The taste picks up floral with the citrus hoppiness, along with the cracker malt, which also picks up some toastiness. The alcohol is evident as the beer warms, adding a bit of sweetness. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation and a boozy resinous finish. Nicely made DIPA.

Bottle - Thanks Jeremiah! Pours cloudy amber with a ton of floaties and a small white head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma of pine, citrus and caramel malts. Flavor is about the same, lightly sweet with a medium plus hop bitterness. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, light warming finish. Good enough, but there are just too many like this on the market for any one to stand out.
