The Szent András Meggyes Sör (Cherry Beer) is made of fresh fruits, it was one of the first beers made in Hungary out of fresh fruits, rather than extracts. Fruity flavours harmonise perfectly with the malty ones, while sour cherry tastes assure a refreshing experience. The flavours of hop and alcohol stay in the background for the benefit of fruity lightness. It has a slightly cloudy foam. . We used fruit concentrate that is made from fresh, crunchy sour cherries from a local family business, the Szabo & Szabo fruit processing factory, in order to make one of the finest sour cherry beers in Hungary.

0.5 l bottle poured into a pilsen glass. Ruby red color with no head. Sweet fruity aroma and sour cherry in taste with a hint of bitterness in finishing. Light bodied and softly carbonated. Refreshing and tasty, but not much of a beer.

Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

500 ml bottle. Unclear dark blood red with a huge pink fluffy head. Medium sour cherries, cherry stone, wood, black forest cake, earthy notes, lemon juice. Fruity sweetness, dry sourness. Medium to light bodied, oily watery texture, fizzy carbonated, dry sweet sour fruity finish.

25/1/2023. Bottle shared by MarkoNm, cheers. Pours clear deep maroon with a small frothy off-white pinkish head. Aroma is earthy, malt, cherries, slightly veggie. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness, touch of tart. Moderate body, oily and watery, average carbonation. Dry finish, touch of black forest gateaux and battenburg marzipan. Quite good.

Draught at Beerstro14, Budapest. Almost clear, red colored. AROMA- artificial cherry, cherry syrup. FLAVOR- lightly sweet, black cherries, nothing more. Medium bodied. More soft drink than beer.

Bottle at Legfelsobb, Budapest. Pours hazy rubby red, topped with a large pink coloured head, ok lasting. Strong and sweet cherry syrup aroma. Taste follows. Sweet cherry syrup, slight soury touch and a hint of bitterness. Light body. Ok, though a bit too sweet.
